R. Blackinton Sterling Silver & Enamel Bell
The orginal company was founded by Walter Ballou and Roswell Blackinton at North Attleboro, Ma. in 1862. The original B pierced by a sword was used until 1900, so this piece was made between 1862 and 1900.
In great condition. The handle is slightly bent and there is some fading of the enamel on two corners, shown in photos. The sterling was originally gold-washed but with respect to age, it is now silver. The inside of the bell still shows the gold wash. Inside of bell is on excellent condition.
